Maths
At Farley Hill, Maths is taught through a creative and hands-on approach and as a result the children love Maths!
Maths is at the heart of our curriculum. We hold a range of cross-curricular days which inspire Maths learning in the school through a broad variety of whole-school tasks and activities, for example: our annual Maths in Art creative day, attending STEM fairs, competitions and links with secondary schools.
We place a great emphasis on learning through investigations, games and practical tasks. To support this, we use a wide variety of resources and methods which enhance our children's understanding and application of Maths in the real world.
Visitors come into school to showcase mathematical learning and applications which stimulate and motivate children and staff to learn and deepen their understanding.
