Attendance and Absence

In the Government’s document ‘Working together to Improve Attendance’ it states: ‘All schools have a continuing responsibility to proactively manage and improve attendance across their school community. Attendance is the essential foundation to positive outcomes for all pupils.

This is why we continue to set expectations about attendance levels for our children. However, we work with all families, and especially those with children who have SEN or medical needs, to support them with any attendance concerns regarding their children.

It can be tricky deciding whether or not to keep your child off school or nursery when they're unwell. Please find below link with NHS Guidance for all aliments and illnesses to help decide when your child is well enough to attend school.

Please be aware that if your child has been sick (vomited) or had an upset tummy (diarrhoea) they cannot return to school until 48 hours have passed since the last bout of illness.

Leave of Absence Forms

If your child requires time off school for any medical appointment, please ensure that you complete a Leave of Absence form which can be obtained from our website here or paper copy from the Office Reception.
