We will be celebrating your favourite books in school!
If your child/ren would like to dress up for the day they are able to come dressed as a book character or with an object to represent a book (if possible with the book so we can share this in class). If they do not want to dress up they can bring in a book / object linked to a book and wear their school uniform.
You could bring a golden ticket and be a child from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. You could have a pack of crayons with you and be the child from The Day the Crayons Quit!
Parents/ Carers are again invited to come in and read a story with their child before school on Thursday 6th March from 8:30am until 8:50am. This will take place in the main hall. There will be some cushions, bean bags and seats so you can sit comfortably, however if you would like to bring in your own cushions etc then that is also fine. There will be a selection of books in the hall but please feel free to bring in a favourite from home if you would prefer. Don’t worry if you cannot make it as there will be book related activities happening in the classroom for the children too.
During the day the children will be taking part in some book related activities in school so that we can share and enjoy a love of reading!
If you would like to look at any world book day resources at home please do visit the world book day website: https://www.worldbookday.com/families/ There are free audio books to listen to, book recommendations and lots of information too!
We look forward to hearing lots of buzz about books during the day!
